|
|
Currently, I always see the cup races start at the same time. 19:00 and 23:00. This means they always END at the same time, which in my timezone (Colorado USA) means either 23:00 (in my timezone), or 03:00 (also in my timezone).
Staying up until 23:00 to start repairs and schedule the next race is sometimes a problem. Getting up at 3:00 for the same reasons, is ALWAYS a problem. Can we make the game more world-wide friendly by randomizing the start times of the races to facilitate different schedules? |

Well, that certainly is a problem, however this game is supposed to be adjusted to british time zone (just like in Poland, Germany, Spain and every other country that has it's own server). So if only America had it's own server that matches your timezone everything should be fine. This however is, in my opinion, unlikely to happen. _________________ Some of you will go to heaven, the rest will burn in hell with me

Hi there,
as [Rtte]Yxil is almost correct. The server time is actually not based on the British time, but on the German, as are all current servers. This is because the servers are located in Germany. The problem really is, that the English version is kind of like the most international version - meaning it is being played by users from India as much as by users from the US, England or Poland.
I am sorry that the way the races are scheduled now, caues problems for you as player from the US, and I can understand that it may be quite annoying, but as you can see, changing either the server time or the time of the daily races might make it easier for you - but might make it more difficult for players from other countries.
And the way the races are timed now, it is not really possible to add different races at different times. You would have to change the time settings for all of them. So I am afraid, while it is a good idea, we will not be able to carry this out.
Best regards,

For example, instead of the current schedule for cup races:
Monday 19:00
Tuesday 19:00
Wednesday 19:00
Thursday 19:00
Friday 19:00
Saturday 19:00
Sunday 19:00
it could be:
Monday 19:00 + random(0,23)
Tuesday 19:00 + random(0,23)
Wednesday 19:00 + random(0,23)
Thursday 19:00 + random(0,23)
Friday 19:00 + random(0,23)
Saturday 19:00 + random(0,23)
Sunday 19:00 + random(0,23)
This would result in players in India occasionally seeing very convenient cup start times, and occasionally in Germany, and occasionally in USA. It would just jumble the start times up every week.
But as you say, maybe this is impossible. |

I understand your point, and it is certainly a good idea, but, I am afraid, it's not compatible with the current system, which is the same on all servers.
But thank you for the input, it is definitely much appreciated!

Hi huminado, we write the codes ourselves, to my knowledge we are not using any package.
Cheers,
